This highly technical workshop examines Open Text products from an architectural and security point of view. The workshop examines all of the certified - and some common but not certified - solutions from monolithic installations to highly available clusters. All aspects of the service are examined, from the network and network services to the database and file system resources. Both Windows-based and Unix-based solutions are examined and contrasted.

Workshop - Two-days

This two-day, hands-on, technical course will provide an overview of the Livelink ECM - Content Archiving for Enterprise Server's capabilities with a focus on setting up multiple logical volumes (tiered storage) followed by the installation and configuration of the Content Archiving solution. The course will cover both the use of Content Archiving for Enterprise Server using the metadata of a base Livelink ECM - Enterprise Server system to provide a vendor-neutral, Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM) system. As well, it will cover the more complex interaction with Livelink ECM - Records Management providing what Open Text calls "Intelligent Storage Management" -- storage location decisions based upon the individual content's lifecycle rather than arbitrary information (e.g. age).
