U-TR-205 Configuring & Customizing Livelink Search

Livelink System Administrators will learn how to set up, configure and troubleshoot the "Search" and "Indexing" functions in a Livelink system.

This course will give you the information necessary to:
Understand the different components of Livelink indexing and their configuration options.
Examine how a data flow indexes documents and other Livelink items.
Create Directory Walkers to index content "outside" of a Livelink System.
Set up "control rules" to Administrator e-mail messages that report on system status.
Alter the search interface and templates to support Knowledge collection by different user communities.
Discuss scaling Search components (e.g. distributing data flow processes, Admin servers and Search Managers).
Understand the basics of "Search Troubleshooting".
Use the Backup Utility to backup and restore your indexes.
Integrate XML into search including: searching on XML elements, creating an XML thesaurus and creating custom XML "skins" for the Query interface.
Configure indexing and "summaries" options from the opentext.ini file.
