Different types of content require different treatment: financial documents are controlled to ensure corporate compliance; business transactions are retained as long as necessary; but intellectual assets contribute to innovation. Special handling may be necessary to preserve and capitalize on corporate memory and ensure continued precise access to assets like technical research, white papers, publications and similar knowledge artifacts. Livelink for LIbraries and Livelink Collections Server provide tools for information professionals (librarians and archivists) to differentiate Livelink content to ensure its ongoing contribution to corporate ingenuity.
