Whether you are an executive, manager, administrator, developer or user, we offer compelling breakout sessions presented by industry leaders, products experts and technology partners eager to share their expertise and first-hand experiences. Please visit this page often, as we will be adding new sessions periodically.

Please note: you do not need to sign up for sessions in advance; the exception is the Ask the Expert sessions. Please sign up for the Ask the Expert sessions at the registration desk when you arrive at the conference.

About the Breakout Sessions

To help you to decide which breakout sessions to attend and get the most out of the conference, we have classified each session according to the following:

Technology Tracks: includes sessions that fit in a horizontal technology category.

Deployment Tracks: includes sessions that focus on the different aspects of deployment.

Solution Tracks: sessions in this track fit in a vertical category or focus on a specific business problem.

Product Tracks: an Open Text product or product line is the focus.

Format Tracks: indicates the type of session, i.e., case study, product session, etc.

Language Tracks: indicates the language in which the session will be presented.

Technology Tracks

The following topics will be featured as part of the Technology Track:

Collaboration Track—these sessions highlight collaboration technologies and collaborative applications. Learn how your peers are using Livelink® for project collaboration, such as RFP preparation. Find out more about MeetingZone™ 2.0, Open Text's real-time meeting and collaboration tool.

Business Process Management Track—these sessions focus on automation or improvement of business processes using technology such as workflow and forms. Find out how our customers are using Livelink for engineering change management, vacation request processing, and other business processes.

Knowledge Management Track—these sessions discuss issues related to information retrieval, information reuse, training and skills management, communities of practice and best practice sharing. Learn about technology such as search, categorization and e-Learning.

Content Management Track—the focus of these sessions is managing content, including document management, records management, and Web content management. The business applications that will be featured include (but are not limited to) standard operating procedure publishing, records management, shared drive replacement and Web site publishing.

Application Integration Track—these sessions highlight the issues of integrating products to exchange data and/or to facilitate deployment, access product capabilities and eliminate data redundancy or re-keying. Find out more about Livelink Doorways™, Livelink UNITE™ and UNITE Anywhere, Coreport, web services and other related technologies. Customer stories will include case studies about portal implementations, ERP integration, and more.

Deployment Tracks

The following tracks will focus on deployment:

Technology Deployment Track—these sessions focus on the technology required for successful deployments. Topics include scaling and sizing, maintenance, monitoring, performance and administration. Customer case studies will describe first-hand experience and lessons learned.

Adoption Track—these sessions describe the challenges and strategies of motivating prospective users of the system to embrace the technology and processes. The topics include change management, executive sponsorship, training, usability etc.

Best Practices Track—these sessions focus on best practices for successful deployment.

Solution Tracks

This set of tracks highlight application solutions specific to a particular industry or function:

Product Tracks

The product tracks highlight all product lines that are represented in Europe. This includes:

Livelink Track—features Livelink, MeetingZone, and all optional modules.
BRS Track—Query Server users will learn about new and existing product functionality.
BASIS Track—BASIS and Techlib topics will focus on new and existing product functionality.
FirstClass Track—features a unified messaging system, combining email and voicemail with dynamic collaborative tools.
Coreport Track—enables users to create their own portals, add specialized content, assemble dynamic business processes, and manage online communities.

Format Tracks

If you prefer to attend a session to hear from your peers and their personal experience, learn the more technical aspects of Livelink or participate in discussions with the Open Text team, choose from the following:

Ask the Expert
Bring your technical questions to LiveLinkUp and ask the Open Text team about one of the topics listed. These informal meetings provide you with an opportunity to participate in discussions with one of our technical experts.

Case Studies
These sessions will focus on solutions, applications or industry specific topics. Your colleagues and peers will present their "story" and answer the following questions:
What was the business problem that you were trying to solve?
How did an Open Text solution help to solve the problem?
What were your lessons learned and best practices?
What was your return on investment?
What future plans do you have for your Open Text solution?

Panel Discussion
Participate in a stimulating discussion by a panel of experts comprised of customers and industry analysts. Several such panels will be assembled during the afternoon breakout sessions to continue the discussion around applications presented in the morning or on other topics of general interest.

Product Forums
Join an Open Text Product Forum for an opportunity to meet the product managers in a highly interactive session, where you bring your questions and feedback to us. Ask us about future features, voice your opinion, and communicate your priorities.

Round Tables
