Lou Dobbs
Anchor and Managing Editor, CNN

Lou Dobbs is the anchor and managing editor of CNN's Lou Dobbs Tonight and anchors the nationally syndicated financial news radio report, The Lou Dobbs Financial Report. He is also a columnist for Money magazine, New York Daily News, and U.S. News and World Report.

Speaking on corporate governance, Mr. Dobbs will discuss how North American businesses face new and emerging compliance legislation — such as Sarbanes Oxley, The U.S. Patriot Act, and HIPPA — in the shadow of 9/11 and accounting scandals. Toby Bell
Research Director, Gartner Group

Toby Bell has a wide range of content management expertise, and is also responsible for integrated document archive and retrieval systems (IDARS), distributed output management hardware and software, and workflow for the Internet, Web Services, and Media group. Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Bell was a senior manager and director within a Big 5 consulting firm. He was responsible for identifying business problems and related emerging technology solutions that resulted in the highest immediate cost recovery for clients; coordinating and communicating global research and testing efforts related to advanced and emerging technologies; and setting direction for the firm's technology architecture. He also led a team of rapid application developers in designing the firm's document management, knowledge and collaboration, marketing information, and back-office systems.

Mr. Bell will provide an industry perspective of Collaboration and Enterprise Content Management (ECM).


Dr. Ellen Walther-Klaus
Senior Executive Vice President, CIO e-Enabling & Relationship Management, T-Systems International GmbH.

Dr. Ellen Walther-Klaus has many years experience developing and implementing knowledge networking concepts for sales, services and administration. She has also managed the development of an internal enterprise wide trust centre and meta-directory services, new sales concepts, and corporate knowledge networking portals. Dr. Klaus currently serves on the Open Text Knowledge Management Advisory Board.


David Weinberger
Author and National Public Radio (NPR) Commentator

David Weinberger is the co-author of the The Cluetrain Manifesto, the bestseller that cut through the hype and told business what the Web was really about. His new book, Small Pieces, Loosely Joined has been published to rave reviews hailing it as the first book to put the Internet in its deepest context. He is also a frequent commentator on NPR's All Things Considered.

While at the conference Mr. Weinberger is serving as the real-time "beat-reporter" — soliciting feedback from attendees during the conference and then summarizing the results at the conclusion of the conference for attendees and Open Text executives. Of particular interest, Mr. Weinberger believes that Open Text customers are well positioned to walk the fine line of achieving compliance to regulations without stifling innovation and productivity. Robert Wolcott is a Fellow of the Center for Research in Technology & Innovation at the Kellogg School of Management, conducting research and teaching at both Kellogg and Northwestern's School of Communications. He has taught globally at the HKUST (Hong Kong) and the Keio Business School, Japan. Dr. Wolcott recently co-founded the Kellogg Innovation Network, a global network of senior executives dedicated to driving sustainable innovation.

Gregory Derderian
Managing Director, Bearing Point North America

Gregory Derderian provides leadership for BearingPoint's Enterprise Solutions—World Class Finance practice. He has over 22 years experience as both a banker and consultant in the design, construction, and deployment of the finance function, with a concentration on the underlying financial systems. He has focused on implementing financial management strategies, models, processes, and tools throughout his career.

Mr. Derderian specializes in defining and developing issue specific solutions for his clients. Some of those business issues include: providing financial transparency into the Information Technology spend, assessing broker compliance with licensing and registration requirements, and leveraging the Sarbanes Oxley Act requirements to improve the Finance Function. He has participated on industry panels and symposiums to discuss the impact of Sarbanes Oxley and the direction of Corporate Governance activities.

Rick Funston
National Practice Leader, Risk Intelligent Solutions, Deloitte &Touche

With a diverse background in a wide range of fields and more than 25 years of experience, Rick Funston has been one of the principal architects in developing firm-wide risk management methodologies for Deloitte & Touche. His primary focus is in developing and deploying global, enterprise-wide risk management programs to assist boards, audit committees and senior executives. He helps organizations improve risk intelligence by identifying and prioritizing business opportunities, risks and challenges; he helps establish risk infrastructure including policies, procedures and governance for improved risk management and control. Mr. Funston also helps develop and deploy enterprise-wide performance metrics and tracking systems and consults on using internal audit for risk assessment and assurance, and re-engineering business processes to improve functionality and control.
