Originally designed as both a shipping and recreational facility, in 1989, The Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority redesigned Navy Pier into one of the country's most unique recreation and exposition facilities. Navy Pier now showcases a unique collection of restaurants and shops in addition to unequaled recreational and meeting facilities -- in a setting like no other.
Navy Pier has more than 170,000 square feet of exhibit space, and 36 meeting rooms totaling more than 44,000 square feet.

Live LinkUp will provide shuttle service to/from the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers during morning and evening peak hours.
A block of rooms has been reserved for Live LinkUp attendees who reserve their rooms on or before the cutoff date of October 14, 2002, 5pm (central time). Early reservations are suggested, as rooms are limited! The special reduced Open Text Live LinkUp conference room rate is $199 USD single/double, plus applicable taxes (currently at 14.9%).
Make your hotel reservations by calling the hotel directly at 312-464-1000 or 1-800-325-3535 (in North America). To receive the Live LinkUp conference rate, refer to Open Text and/ or Live LinkUp when you place your call.
The hotel requires one night's deposit to confirm your reservation. This deposit will be applied to the first night of the reserved stay and will be charged against the credit card at the time the reservation is made. This deposit is refundable if cancellation is placed at least 48 hours prior to arrival and a cancellation number is obtained. One night's charge will be incurred for no-shows or cancellations received less than 48 hours prior to the arrival date. all changes or cancellations must be made with the hotel reservations department directly.
A charge of $20 USD will be added for each guest over double occupancy with a maximum of four (4) guests per room.
Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. with checkout time at 12:00 noon. If rooms are requested prior to check-in time, early arrivals will be accommodated, as rooms become available. The Bell Captain can arrange to store baggage for early arrivals or late departures.

Most ground transportation access areas are located at the main entrance for each terminal.

Easily accessible via car or public transportation, the Navy Pier is located approximately 35 (miles from O'Hare Airport, and a
15 - 20 minute walk from the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers.
