Tim Bray, one of the founders of Open Text and a co-inventor of XML, will speak of his latest venture. Antarcti.ca is developing a public portal that will simplify searching and navigating the World Wide Web by mapping the categories of the Internet Open Directory Project onto the continent of Antarctica. Tim will also demonstrate how his visualization technology can be applied to Livelink in order to make it easier for users to find what they are looking for through two- and three-dimensional graphical interfaces that present new paradigms for navigating, searching and identifying relatedness of items in Livelink's Workspaces.
