eDOCS DM 5.3 Release Date Has Been Extended

The release date for Open Text Document Management, eDOCS Edition (eDOCS DM) 5.3, originally scheduled for Q3 CY2010, will be extended to allow additional time for beta testing.

As part of the release, we launched an official beta program this summer. A broad range of customers were invited to participate and test the new features and supported platforms. Customers were encouraged to use copies of their own data and sample configurations to emulate the environments the software will be deployed in once it is officially released.

The beta program for this release (launched in early spring) has been very successful. It has provided the eDOCS DM development team with valuable customer feedback on the new features as they were being finalized.

Based on customer feedback regarding the implementation of the new features provided in the release, we have decided to extend the beta program. Extending the beta program will allow us to include new user scenarios provided by eDOCS customers as well as performing additional regression testing. We believe that by doing this, the end result will be a product that meets our quality standards.

We plan to release eDOCS DM 5.3 by November 30, 2010, and will provide an update closer to that time.
