| Preparing the country for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games required a phenomenal amount of organization and preparation across several different government bodies. In order to ensure that records and documents being transferred between these bodies were sent and received safely, securely, and efficiently, the Department of Canadian Heritage’s project lead turned to Open Text. With Open Text RDIMS, he and his team got what they needed to ready the country for Vancouver 2010. |

Open Text Wireless DMS for eDOCS Now Includes Support for the Apple iPad
 eDOCS DM customers can now greatly enhance and leverage their investment in eDOCS DM solutions by providing iPad access to their DM repositories.
The Wireless DMS for eDOCS mobile solution now consists of the following modules:
- iPad Client
- iPhone Client
- BlackBerry Client
- Microbrowser Module (for eDOCS DM access using WAP-enabled mobile devices)
- EmailService Module (functional eDOCS DM access via email)
- MobileSync Module (mobile eDOCS DM client)

eDOCS Integration for Microsoft SharePoint Version 4.0 R4 will be available by July 30th and includes the following features and enhancements:
- Support for SharePoint 2010
- Enterprise Archiving & Distribution for SharePoint (EADS)
- Additional repository compatibility, including EMC Documentum and Open Text Content Server
- Enhanced Archive Once functionality
- Improved integration with Open Text eDOCS DM
- Core Integration Services
- Fail-Over Load Balancing support for Remote Connector
- Inclusion of Farm Deployment Manager
- Improved support for Java language connectors
- Improved Protocol Handler performance
- Synchronize Express
- Additional connector support
- Greater configuration flexibility
- Support for mapping and linking an entire SharePoint document library
- Enterprise Integration for SharePoint
- Improved Web Part library portability
- Simplified language translation settings
In addition, a number of open issues have been addressed.

Open Text Email Filing, eDOCS Edition 3.1 will be available by July 30th.
Email Filing, a collection of applications provided in conjunction with Traen, Inc., automatically saves emails into the eDOCS DM library and encourages users to file emails into the eDOCS DM/RM system.
The 3.1 release includes the following features:
- Oracle is supported with eDOCS DM 5.2.
- eDOCS RM 6.0.5 is supported.
- A list of defined folders can include columns with defined metadata from the DM profile.
- A list of defined folders supports a “multiselect” function to allow several folders to be selected in “File now” or delete operations.
- An optional context menu for Microsoft Outlook 2007 allows you to right-click on a folder or selected items in Outlook to launch the Auto Bulk Filing wizard.
- Categories set by markers are now cleared if the email has been deleted from DM, or if the user no longer has access to the document.
