Open Text is pleased to announce that Open Text Enterprise Connect Plug-in for Microsoft® SharePoint® 1.2.0 is now available for shipment.

Open Text Enterprise Connect is a revolutionary user interface paradigm designed to enable information workers to access and interact with all of their business content, applications and processes directly from familiar desktop environments, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Windows Explorer, Microsoft Outlook and browser-based interfaces.

Open Text Enterprise Connect Plug-in for Microsoft SharePoint enables users to work with a SharePoint site collection within Microsoft Outlook and Explorer. Users can use the plug-in to perform the following actions:

• Work directly in SharePoint sites and web pages without leaving Outlook or Explorer.
• Browse the site collection and its contents in the Navigation Pane.
• Expose Subscribed sites in the navigation pane and operate on these sites.
• Drag documents and emails from Explorer and Outlook to SharePoint document library folders.
• File emails at the time of sending to a SharePoint document library or folder.
• Save Office documents to SharePoint document libraries.

The Open Text Enterprise Connect Plug-in for Microsoft SharePoint brings together the collaborative features of SharePoint within Microsoft Outlook, Explorer and Office to provide superior ease of use and productivity for end users.
