Welcome to the Web Solutions Champion Toolkit

As part of the Customer Care program at Open Text, a series of documents (white papers, reference guides, discussion papers, application notes, etc.) and multimedia presentations are published to supplement the standard Open Text product documentation. This collection of resources is called the Open Text Champion Toolkit.

New Web Solutions Group Virtual Folder added to the Champion Toolkit

A new virtual folder has been added to the Champion Toolkit which will encompass documentation and multimedia for products from the Web Solutions Group. The Web Solutions Group toolkit joins the existing Open Text Content Server (Enterprise Server) and Open Text eDOCS toolkits. All material in the new Web Solutions Group virtual folder will also be listed automatically in the Champion Toolkit – All Resources virtual folder as well.

The first of many documents have been added:

Web Solutions Management Server – Installing and Using the Workflow Trigger
This document outlines the installation and use of the Workflow Trigger service and its corresponding executable.

Delivery Server - BLOB Constraints Using the REF Variant
This document outlines the steps to create a Test Project and content constraints for BLOB content types using the REF variant.

Web Solution Delivery Server - URL Simplification
This Application Note outlines various ways to simplify the URLs to Web Solutions Delivery Server (LiveServer) content.

RedDot Usergroup Welcomes a New Name

The Red Dot Usergroup e.V. (RDUG) was founded in February of 2002 on the initiative of former RedDot users to create an information forum independent of the vendor. Partners as well as end users have gotten together for an intensive exchange of their experiences in order to quickly extend their individual know-how. The group gets together 3 to 4 times per year in Germany and the UK. About 60 to 80 people join the event in different cities and locations. At each event, presentations around the topic of ‘Web Content Management’ will be offered by current customers, partners and also Open Text employees.

Following the One Voice One Vision strategy, the ‘RedDot Usergroup’ will be renamed. The board is currently thinking about the new naming that fits into the new Open Text strategy.

More information about the group and the events can be found at: http://www.reddotusergroup.org.
