Open Text Products Receive Additional SAP Certifications
Both Open Text Document Access 9.6.2 for SAP Solutions (sold by SAP as SAP Document Access by Open Text) and Open Text Extended ECM 9.7.1 for SAP Solutions have recently been certified by SAP for integration with SAP NetWeaver 7.0 via the SAP integration scenario, “ABAP add-on for SAP NetWeaver.”

PayStream Advisors Release Imaging and Workflow Automation Report about Open Text Solutions
PayStream Advisors is a technology research and consulting firm that assists clients with evaluations of accounts payable solutions. As part of their recent Imaging and Workflow Automation (IWA) report, they generated a profile of Open Text with a focus on our Accounts Payable (AP) extensions for SAP and Oracle software.
In their profile of the SAP Invoice Management by Open Text solution, PayStream Advisors stated that they were, “really impressed with ‘knowledge base,’ which comes bundled with the ICC (Invoice Capture Center) tool”.
While the article is focused on AP solutions, PayStream Advisors also stated, “Open Text is a global leader in the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) space, offering a comprehensive suite of solutions that enable its clients to manage and leverage their business content.” This comment highlights the fact that the Open Text’s AP solutions are much more than just a point solution, but are instead part of a strategic content management solution that spans the enterprise.

Open Text Portal Integration Kit 2.0.3 Is Released
Open Text Portal Integration Kit (formerly Livelink ECM – Portal Integration Kit) (PIK) 2.0.3 is now available.
PIK is a set of out-of-the-box portlets to integrate products based on Open Text Content Server (formerly Livelink ECM – Enterprise Server), such as Open Text Document Management and Open Text Content Lifecycle Management, into leading Java-based portal frameworks. PIK supports the Java portlet API standards (JSR-168) and iView. Portlets for IBM WebSphere Portal Server, Oracle Application Server Portal, BEA WebLogic Portal, BEA Portal AquaLogic (formerly Plumtree), JBoss Portal, and SAP NetWeaver Portal (PIK has been certified as “Powered by SAP NetWeaver” for J2EE and Business Package integration scenarios) are supported.
Portal Integration Kit is easy to install; individual portlets expose Content Server's powerful functionality in a customer-defined view. Portal Integration Kit also provides a development framework for creating new portlets for Content Server modules and products, allowing you to enhance your business-specific, portal-based solutions.
Release 2.0.3 includes the following new feature:
- The Show List Navigation portlet has been enhanced to include a Open Text Content Server style function menu. Adjustments were also made to improve the UI look and feel.
