Highlights of Content World 2009

• The annual Partner Day on October 26 which offers Open Text partners in-depth sessions on ECM Suite core competencies, ecosystem competencies, complementary ECM solutions competence and best practices for support and services.  

• A keynote address from Dr. Michael Wesch, Assistant Professor of Cultural Anthropology at the University of Kansas, who will discuss how new media and technology are changing how people interact. Called “The Explainer” by Wired Magazine, his videos and lectures have been viewed by millions while Dr. Wesch himself has played key roles in everything from international film festivals to global academic conferences. • The 2009 GlobalStar Enterprise and ECM Champion Awards are announced each year during Content World and distinguish Open Text and its customers and partners as “The Content Experts." The GlobalStar Enterprise Awards recognize companies for their outstanding efforts in growing business value from ECM solution deployments, while the ECM Champion Awards are given to individuals who dedicate themselves to advancing ECM best practices within their own organizations or throughout the ECM industry. This year, the GlobalStar Enterprise Award finalists are Central Vermont Public Service, Delhaize Group, Electronic Arts (EA), Husky Energy, Marathon Oil Corporation, Motorola, The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), PTT Chemical Public Company Limited, South African Government: Western Cape Provincial Department of Transport and Public Works and TXU Energy.

• A mix of informative programming, including workshops and courses, industry peer-to-peer meetings, user group discussions, product/solution paths and industry breakouts focused on areas including financial services, energy and natural resources, legal, public sector and life sciences. READ MORE »
