Artesia DAM Web Toolkit 2.6.1 and Media Portal 1.2.2 are Now Available

The Open Text Digital Media Group is pleased to announce the release of Artesia DAM Web Toolkit 2.6.1 and Artesia DAM Media Portal 1.2.2.

Artesia DAM Web Toolkit 2.6.1 extends the functionality introduced with version 2.6 as follows:

• Addition of new JSP tags to the WebToolkit tag library; including AssetPropertyEquals, AsetPropertyNotEquals, and AssetNotCanExport.
• Addition of new Struts action classes to provide additional functionality in the WebToolkit including ArtesiaSecureForwardAction, PasswordResetAction, and PasswordChangeAction.
• Login infrastructure has been enhanced to support regular and remote login. 

This release also includes the following important bug-fixes:  

• Elimination of fileupload.jar to prevent conflicts with Artesia Web Client
• Modifications to get content actions for master, subfiles, and proxy content
• Update of VocabTermFindAction and SearchAction to enable usage of Term ID

Note: If you have already created a WebToolkit application with versions 2.5 or 2.6 of the WebToolkit, you can upgrade your implementation to use Web Toolkit 2.6.1 following the instructions provided in the Release Notes. It is recommended that you upgrade your custom application in a development environment and fully test your application before deploying it to the production environment.

Artesia DAM Media Portal 1.2.2 delivers a number of new enhancements and customization options. The changes are delivered as a redeployment of the existing Media Portal package and contain some new features including:

• Support for URL forwarding to retrieve and view assets directly using a specific URL
• Enhancement of the vocabulary browsing user interface for a cleaner layout of hierarchy structure
• Cascading Style Sheet modifications to change and reset password
• Addition of "download all" option for the export

This release also includes a number of important bug-fixes including:  

• Correct processing of Date metadata fields on search pages
• Correct processing of calendar object for Date fields
• Update of URL for adding assets to the basket to utilize form based submission
• Dynamic retrieval of domain list for dropdown fields
• Single-click download button to appear for content-based assets only
